Ida Permelia Nichols was born in Gratiot County, Michigan, January 26, 1866 and departed this life July 13, 1933, having reached the age of sixty-seven years,
five months and seventeen days.

She united in marriage with Merritt N. Dickinson September 18, 1882 at Saint Louis, Michigan. In her early life she united with the Seventh-day Adventist church and remained a constant and devoted Christian, always willing to help share the burdens of others.

In 1899 she, with her husband, joined a company enroute to Jerusalem Palestine, for a two years study of the Scriptures. When they returned they moved to Payne County, Oklahoma, to the place they homesteaded near Alva. In 1919 they sold their place and moved to Major County near Longdale, Oklahoma, where she resided at the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two brothers, several nephews and nieces besides a host of
friends and relatives.

Funeral services were conducted by the writer in the Nazarene church near Longdale.
